OREANDA-NEWS. November 9, 2010. Lebedinsky GOK (subsidiary of METALLOINVEST Holding) has successfully passed recertification audit to comply with the occupational health and safety management systems standard OHSAS 18001:2007.

The assessment was held in October 25-29, 2010 by the British Standards Institute (BSI)’s auditors in all major divisions of the plant. Key areas to check were workplace safety, injury prevention, compliance with occupational health and safety laws, and document workflow system quality.

As a result of the assessment the plant’s complete conformance with the international standards was confirmed and BSI recommended extending the OHSAS 18001:2007 certificate’s period of validity to 2013. Lebedinsky GOK first received the certificate in 2008.
