OREANDA-NEWS. November 11, 2010. In 2010 inflation in Belarus will stay within the year’s target ranges, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov told.

“Inflation is usually minimal in summer. It slightly increases by the end of the year, but it is seasonal fluctuations. By the end of 2010 we will meet the forecast. Inflation will stay within the target ranges,” said Andrei Kobyakov.

In 2010 inflation is projected within 8-10%. It was 10.1% in the crisis 2009.

This year the inflation growth rate reduced as against 2009. Thus, in January-September inflation made up 6.8% against 7.9% over the same months a year ago. In September 2010 it stood at 1.6%.

The average consumer price index growth slowed down as well. In January-September 2010 it made up 0.7% against 0.8% in January-September 2009.

In 2011 inflation is projected within of 7-8%, according to the country’s draft monetary policy guidelines for 2011.
