OREANDA-NEWS. November 11, 2010. Uralmash-Engineering Company signed a contract with Republican Unitary Production Enterprise Granit (Republic Belarus') for supply of crushing-and-sorting plant. The annual output of the plant will be 3 mln m3 of crushed stone of improved form as material for high-quality concrete and road surface. The whole set of equipment shall be manufactured by the end of 2011.

This is the first contract of Mining Equipment Division for a complete plant on a turn-key basis when technology is supplied together with the equipment for its realization. "When we cope with this task we would be able to increase the scope of supply in future", pointed out Sergei Chervyakov, general director of Mining Equipment Division of Uralmash-Engineering Ltd.

The contract was signed as per the results of an open tender in which apart from Uralmash-Engineering world-level suppliers of mining equipment took part, such as Metso (Finland), Sandvik (Sweden) as well as Belorussian engineering company Center.

The machines proposed by Uralmash-Engineering proved to be superior in comparison with similar equipment of foreign manufacturers regarding its technical and economic features, primarily, with regard to reliability and capacity. Besides, these machines provide for minimum (21%, max) output of small fractions of product crushing, the so-called "siftings" whereas the competitors have a much higher figure in this respect, up to 50 %.

The basic equipment of crushing-and-sorting plant will be manufactured at Uralmashplant. This is a cascade of five crushes: the main one being jaw primary crusher ЩДП-15x21У, two crushers being secondary-cone crushers КСД-2200 Гр-ДМ with remote control and two newly-developed fine crushers КМД-2200Т7-Д.

Republican Unitary Production Enterprise Granit (Republic Belarus') was put into operation in 1975. Now it ‘s the largest enterprise in Europe dealing with development and processing of ecologically clean granite into crushed stone and sand for construction purposes. At present this enterprise manufactures 7.6 mln m3 of crushed stone per year.
