OREANDA-NEWS. November 12, 2010. As compared to the same period of 2009 it increased by USD 238,4 million or by 17,2%.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in January-September 2010 the exports of Moldova covered its imports by 38,4% against 39,2% in the same period of 2009. Particularly, in January-September 2010 the volume of Moldova’s exports made up USD 1 billion 011,4 million, exceeding the indices of the same period of 2009 by 12,9%.

At the same time, the volume of exports to the CIS countries in January-September 2010 increased by 19,4% - up to USD 390,7 million, and the deliveries of Moldavian goods to the EU countries increased by 2,1% - up to USD 487,7 million.

The share of the CIS countries in the total volume of Moldova’s exports increased in this period from 36,6% up to 38,6%, and of the EU countries - decreased from 53,3% up to 48,2%. The volume of imports to Moldova in January-September 2010 amounted to USD 2 billion 636,6 million, increasing as compared to the same period of 2009 by 15,5%.

At the same time, the imports from the CIS countries increased by 2,7% - up to USD 833,9 million, and from the EU countries – by 19,2% - up to USD 1 billion 189 million. The share of the CIS countries in the total volume of Moldova’s imports reduced from 35,6% up to 31,6%, and of the EU countries – increased from 43,7% up to 45,1%.

The deficit of trade balance of Moldova with the EU countries in January-September 2010 increased by 34,9% - up to USD 701,3 million, and with the CIS countries – reduced by 8,5% - up to USD 443,2 million.

The largest deficit of trade balance in January-September 2010 Moldova had with Ukraine - USD 315,3 million, followed by: China - USD 210,9 million, Germany - USD 155,2 million, Russia - USD 124,7 million, Romania - USD 100,5 million, Turkey - USD 83 million, Italy - USD 82,6 million, Greece - USD 53,2 million, Poland - USD 44 million, Brazil - USD 43,3 million. The data of the National Bureau of Statistics don’t include the trade and economic operations of the enterprises from the Transnistrian region.
