OREANDA-NEWS. November 12, 2010. Cypriot-based offshore company, Efkarpos Enterprises, has consolidated 100% of Kopeika Trade House, raising its holding from 69.75%. The total number of shares controlled by Efkarpos, owned by the Kopeika key beneficiary, Nikolai Tsvetkov, has increased from 1 994 262 039 to 2 859 334 305.

In December 2009, the deal was authorized by the FAS. Kopeika is one of the largest Russian retailers: as of June 30, it operated 601 discounter stores, including 84 franchised. The company’s FY2009 revenue totaled some RUB 56 bn. The market has long discussed the company selloff, either to a strategic investor, or via an IPO.
