OREANDA-NEWS. November 13, 2010. Belarusian companies’ budget arrears increased 19.4% in August 2010 to 62 billion Belarusian rubles (Br) as of September 1, 2010, an official with Belarus’ Statistics Committee told.

In January-August, budget arrears rose 5.6%.

Of all arrears, charged but unpaid VAT fell 28.7% on the year in August to 24.8 billion rubles, a fall of 12.7% from January 1.

Profit tax arrears amounted to 10.9 billion rubles, down 14.8% in August and increased 180% from January 1, while land payment arrears were at 7.4 billion rubles, a rise of 19.4% in August and 72.1% in January-August.

Excise tax arrears reached 1.9 billion rubles, down 50% in August and 9.5% in January-August, and property tax arrears reached 5.3 billion rubles, down 13.1% in August, an increase of 8.2% in the first eight months.

Deferred tax payments to the state budget went down 0.3% in August 2010 to 266.3 billion rubles.
