OREANDA-NEWS. November 13, 2010. Belarus has drafted a regulatory document to introduce licensing of beer import from Ukraine

“Import licensing is introduced to monitor the performance of obligations by Ukrainian exporters, which promised to keep the export price for Belarus above certain limit,” the source said.

Earlier, Belarus completed an antidumping probe into imports of beer originating in Ukraine, and the Ukrainian side had to admit dumping prices.

Ukrainian producers later signed an agreement with Belarus on setting minimum possible export prices for supplies to Belarus.

Only the companies that signed the agreement will be allowed to export beer to Belarus. The names of the companies were not disclosed.

Ukrainian beer imports amounted to 3.421 million decaliters in January-August 2010, up 6.7% on the year, worth USD 13.197 million, up 6.6%.
