OREANDA-NEWS. November 15, 2010. Business magazine "BusinessNewEurope" (BNE) has named Halyk Savings Bank of  Kazakhstan "the best financial institution in Commonwealth of Independent States. An appropriate certificate was handed to U. Shayakhmetova, the CEO, by the magazine's representative E. Arbuzova, Director Business Development, and Clair Nattal, BNE's accredited Central Asia correspondent, reported the press-centre of KASE.

According to the renowned edition,  the best CIS bank is Halyk Savings Bank of Kazakhstan, "whose zealous conservatism brought generous dividends in crisis times". Thanks to such strategy, Halyk Bank is one of the largest banks in Kazakhstan with the lowest number of bad loans.

Published results of the first annual research among the best banks of "the new Europe" (Central and Eastern Europe/CIS) are based on data from the second half-year of 2009 - first half-year of 2010. The rating also took into account merits of avowed market leaders as well as those of "emerging" credit institutions, who look to challenge the well-known players.

In the current year this is already the fifth award received by Halyk Bank from foreign financial editions: in June "Euromoney" assigned to the bank one of the most prestigious - "The Best Bank in Kazakhstan 2010" - awards for the third consecutive time, April saw the bank getting the "Best Bank in Kazakhstan 2010" rank from two big international magazines - "Global Finance" and "Emeafinance", and "The Asian Banker" named it "The best retail bank in Kazakhstan 2010".
