OREANDA-NEWS. November 15, 2010. Ten large-scale investment projects to the total of more than USD 530 million are being implemented in Gomel Oblast.

The most significant of them are: renovation of the joint Belarusian-Finnish company, Ingman Ice Cream, development of chalk deposits and construction of a cement plant by the Iranian AZARAB, and setting-up of a joint company, Kateh-Polesie to manufacture copper wire rods.

All the projects are carried out in line with the agreements concluded at economic forums and conferences, which had been previously held in the region. Such forums target the improvement of the region’s investment attractiveness. They are regularly held both in Gomel and other cities and towns of the oblast.
