OREANDA-NEWS. November 15, 2010. Belarus’ Finance Ministry has posted a republican budget deficit of 2.119 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br), or 1.8% of the gross domestic product (GDP) in January-September 2010, an official with the Finance Ministry told.

The republican budget indicates spending and revenues of the central administration, whereas the consolidated budget also includes local budgets.

Republican budget revenues amounted to 21.404 trillion rubles in January-September, or 60.3% of the adjusted target for the whole year.

Revenues from foreign economic activities amounted to 3.9 trillion rubles, 38.7% of the target for the year, from the profit tax 2.428 trillion rubles, 68.4% of the target, from the value-added tax 7.979 trillion rubles, 63.4% of the target.

Republican budget expenditures reached 23.523 trillion rubles, 59% of the target for 2010.

Expenditures on welfare, science, culture, healthcare, mass media, sports, education, etc. amounted to 4.537 trillion rubles, 72% of the target for 2010, national economy expenditures were at 6.428 trillion rubles, 49.2% of the target, and general state expenditures at 9.553 trillion rubles, 58.9% of the target.

Budget arrears amounted to 44.2 billion rubles as of October 1, down by 14.5 billion rubles from January 1.

Republican budget revenues are projected at 35.525 trillion rubles, and expenditures at 39.86 trillion rubles. Budget deficit is expected at or below 4.336 trillion rubles.
