OREANDA-NEWS. November 17, 2010. A mobile self-service check-in system has been introduced in Heathrow Airport, London for Aeroflot flights. Aeroflot was the first Russian company to introduce a mobile check-in system abroad, reported the press-centre of Aeroflot.

According to Vitali Saveliev, the head of Aeroflot Airlines Company, ‘being a high-tech company Aeroflot relies on the implementation of information technology in every sphere of production and commercial activity as a powerful tool for the improvement of the quality of customer service and economic efficiency’.

Heathrow Airport is the third airport in the world where Aeroflot has introduced a mobile self-service check-in system. Apart from passengers of Heathrow Airport, London, the service is used by passengers flying from Pulkovo and Terminal D of Sheremetyevo Airport, Moscow.

When checking-in through the mobile self-service system you will see a 2D bar code of your boarding pass on the screen of your mobile phone along with some information for passengers. The image on your screen is your boarding pass.

The mobile self-service check-in works 24 hours and ends one hour and a half before the take-off of your flight. When checking in via mobile phone and the Internet passengers can choose their seats themselves.
