OREANDA-NEWS. November 19, 2010. Crisis Response Conference organized within the framework of Trade Facilitation Program of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development took place in Istanbul, Turkey, where Armenia was represented by ARARATBANK OJSC. The conference discussed issues of developing trade financing instruments in different regions and countries after the global economic crisis, reported the press-centre of ARARATBANK.

D. Harutyunyan, Deputy CEO of ARARATBANK OJSC, spoke at the conference and presented the volumes of international trade financing operations in Armenia and in ARARATBANK, as well as the impact of the global financial and economic crisis on the volume of trade financing operations carried out by Armenian banks, emphasizing possible post-crisis developments and solutions to existing issues.

There were also individual meetings during the conference with representatives of leading international banks such as EBRD, Commerzbank AG, Standard Chartered Bank, Unicredit Bank AG, Credit Suisse, VTB Bank, etc. During such meetings the participants discussed issues of developing mutual relations and enhancing trade finance instruments in Armenia.
