OREANDA-NEWS. November 19, 2010. Most Estonian industrial enterprises feel relieved presently in terms of export and predict further growth of trading volumes, Delovye Vedomosti Estonii reported. They have constant partners and share sales among them. Products are usually sold via long-term contracts.

On the contrary, Martin Arula, head of the board of sawmilling Toftan AS, does not feel as relieved as food, beverage, cement and other companies in terms of exports. Now the company sells 65% of the goods abroad, and agreements are concluded only till the end of 2010, he says.

Arula says that due to low consumption and overproduction demand of the forest industry is falling quite quickly both on domestic and external markets. ‘I think the third crisis in three years is coming, so we have to decrease prices and search for new markets in order to keep up production levels’, he added.
