OREANDA-NEWS. November 24, 2010. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov considers that the trade turnover between Ukraine and Libya can be increased several times. The Head of the Government said in the interview to the Libyan newspaper Malmo wa Aamal (Finance and business) as part of his official visit to the Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya.

"We need to see what embarrasses the turnover growth and to resolve these issues" - Mykola Azarov said. He also said that at present the trade turnover between Ukraine and Libya is close to 100 million UAH.

Ukrainian Premier stressed that Ukraine is interested in supplying equipment to Libya for oil and gas industry, machinery, engines for helicopters and "AN" family aircraft. In addition, Ukraine is of interest of liquefied gas supplies to Libya. According to Mykola Azarov, the matter will be discussed in the framework of Ukrainian-Libyan negotiations.

Mykola Azarov noted that in 2011 Ukraine will obligatory fulfill its obligation on aircraft supply to Libya, which were not fulfilled for several years.
