OREANDA-NEWS. November 24, 2010. According to the research carried out by the audit and consulting company FBK the financial and oil and gas employees’ salaries are the highest. The analysis of the branches (types of economic activity) by the level of monthly average nominal accrued wages has shown that the top line belongs to financial activity (50.159 rub./month – July 2010), the second line belongs to production of gas carbon and petroleum derivatives – 49,474 rub./month and the third line belongs to excavation of fuel and energy raw materials – 44,264 rub./monthб reported the press-centre of FBK.

According to FBK Strategic Analysis Department Director Igor Nikolaev the majority of the types of economic activity for the last three years has kept its lines in the rating of the salary level (see the table).

At the same time the following branches have grown in the salaries rating: chemical industry – 23,267 rub./month in July 2010 (the 10th line against the 13th in December 2006); wholesale – 23,169 rub./month (the 11th line against the 18th accordingly) and retail – 14,738 rub./month (the 24th line against the 28th accordingly). The branches that have been decreasing recently in the level of salaries include: cellulose and paper production, publishing and printing industry – 21,075 rub./month (the 15th line in July 2010 against the 11th line in December 2006) and metallurgical and ready metal products production – 22,165 rub./month (the 13th line against the 10th accordingly).

The research authors stress that in Russia the gap between the highest and lowest salaries in an economic activity is much greater than in developed counties.
