OREANDA-NEWS. November 25, 2010. Regional conflict commissions set up under TNK-BP’s Supplier and Contractor Liaison Councils to improve relationships with contractors and achieve greater transparency in the Company’s activities will begin their work on December 1, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

The Conflict Commissions are being set up to resolve conflicts and review complaints from suppliers and contractors concerning the pre-qualification process, contractor selection and complaints from contractors regarding their disqualification.

TNK-BP is pursuing a consistent strategy of improving the efficiency of its relations with partners throughout the country. The Company’s first Supplier and Contractor Convention, at which the creation of the Councils and Conflict Commissions was announced, took place on September 24 in Moscow.

The main objectives of the new Councils are to create forums for direct dialogue between the Company and its suppliers and contactors, to improve contracting efficiency, to explain the Company’s principles and practices of interaction to contractors, and to identify and prevent violations of these principles and rules.
