OREANDA-NEWS. November 25, 2010. October 29 2010 saw the formal ceremony held in Vnukovo's International Terminal B to welcome the first flight operated by Air Berlin on the Moscow-Braunschweig route.

The services that introduce a new route for both Vnukovo International and Air Berlin are being launched with the needs of the Volkswagen Concern employees in mind and will be operated thrice-weekly using the Embraer-190 twin jets as standard equipment on the route. This socially significant project is co-supervised by the RF Federal and regional authorities.

"A year ago we launched a full-cycle car assembly line in the Town of Kaluga and are determined to go on increasing the output there. This involves regular business travel on the part of the Volkswagen HQ-based expert staff to support and further develop production in Kaluga. The introduction of a non-stop charter between the Airports of Braunschweig / Wolfsburg and Vnukovo, Moscow allows us to seriously streamline and simplify our people's itinerary, thus bringing international expertise and modern technology to Kaluga". - had said Dietmar Korcekva, Director General of Volkswagen Group Rus just before the check-in for the return flight to Braunschweig opened.
