OREANDA-NEWS. November 26, 2010. In September, exports grew by 41 percent and imports by 35 percent, influenced mostly by the remarkable increase of trade in machinery and equipment, according to Statistics Estonia. Exports amounted to 847 million euros and imports to 862 million euros.

The trade deficit amounted to 15 million euros, decreasing by more than half compared to last year.

The biggest share in Estonia’s exports was held by the commodities of machinery and equipment, making up a quarter of total exports. Mineral products composed 13 percent and metals 10 percent. Exports of machinery increased twofold or by 103 million euros compared to the previous year.
