OREANDA-NEWS. December 1, 2010. Belarus’ beer output increased 16.6% on the year in January-October 2010 to 33.664 million decaliters, a representative in the concern Belgospischeprom told.

In October, beer production was up 28.1% on the year to 2.872 million decaliters.

JSC Krinitsa, based in Minsk, produced 12.541 million decaliters of beer, up 0.6% on the year.

JSC Olivaria, based in the city of Minsk, produced 6.007 million decaliters of beer in January-October, an increase of 11.2% on the year.

Heineken Breweries, based in Bobruisk, in the Mogilev Region, produced 6.498 million decaliters of beer in the period, up 86.7% on the year.

JSC Lidskoe Pivo (Lida Beer), in the Grodno Region, increased beer output 19.8% to 4.896 million decaliters.

JSC Brest Beer produced 2.608 million decaliters of beer, up 16.9%.

CJSC Rechitsapivo, located in the Gomel Region, produced 900,000 decaliters of beer in the period, up 0.3%.

Beer output in plastic bottles went up 15.8% to 25.543 million decaliters, in glass bottles rose 16.5% to 5.655 million decaliters, in kegs increased 37.6% to 2.164 million decaliters and in cans fell 22.5% to 301,000 decaliters.

Belarusian beer supplies to domestic wholesalers and retailers increased 7.7% on the year in January-October to 28.762 million decaliters.

Krinitsa sales went down 12.9% to 9.512 million decaliters, Olivaria sales went up 9.1% to 5.934 million decaliters, Lidskoe pivo sales increased 14% to 4.328 million decaliters, and sales of Brest Beer fell 4.9% to 1.979 million decaliters, of Heineken Breweries increased 81.9% to 6.224 million decaliters and of Rechitsapivo dropped 14.2% to 656,000 decaliters.
