OREANDA-NEWS. December 02, 2010. It was said by Germany’s Ambassador to Moldova at the opening ceremony of the Moldovan-German forum dedicated to financing of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

He express his hope that the future government would further implement SMEs support mechanisms approved earlier, which, in the Ambassador’s opinion, is of big significance for the country’s economy. Simone Bunsch, Entwicklungsbank representative, said SMEs were the national economy development basis in Germany and the state had elaborated a series of policies to provide necessary assistance to enterprise from this sector.

 Now the German government intends to support Moldovan authorities to promote SMEs, to fund them through provision of consultations in elaboration and implementation of support policies, working out of instruments that would contribute to it efficiently and through informing economic subjects about the financial possibilities of development.

The SMEs financing forum is was organized within the Transform program of the Federal Ministry of Finance of Germany with participation of the KfW Development Bank and the Moldovan Institute of Development and Social Initiatives Viitorul.
