OREANDA-NEWS. December 03, 2010. At the event organized by the International Bar Association (IBA) for students of Higher School of Economics in Moscow, Andrey Tsyganov, Deputy Head of FAS Russia, spoke about specifics of antimonopoly regulation in Russia, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The presentation of Mr. Tsyganov focused mainly on competition advocacy in Russia, in particular, FAS Russia’s efforts in this field.

Students of Higher School of Economics listened to Mr. Fernando Pelaez-Pier, the IBA President, who talked about IBA and opportunities opened for students within the IBA framework. Then Tomasz Wardynski, a Board Member of the IBA European Forum, talked about competition advocacy as a tool in support of competition law.

As stated by Andrey Tsyganov: “For FAS Russia it is very important to take part in such events as it helps nurture from young years the culture of observing the principles of competition and understanding of the essential role that healthy competition plays in effective development of the economy”.
