OREANDA-NEWS. December 3, 2010. By the decision of Accessibility committee at L’viv Regional State Administration (LRSA) 2 more OKKO filling complexes – in Horodok (25th kilometre of L’viv-Shehyni highway) and in Stryi (2-V Bolekhivska str.) – are acknowledged as barrier-free. Thus, already three OKKO filling complexes had passed an audit and got permission to use international symbol of accessibility. First complex to get it was L’viv filling complex located at 12 Vashynhtona str.

People’s Deputy of Ukraine, chairman of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on the Matters of Pensioners, Veterans and Persons with Disabilities Valeriy Sushkevych marked an important role of business and contribution of OKKO network into broadening of accessibility principles and norms.

Yaroslav Hrybalskyi, vice-chairman of Accessibility committee at L’viv Regional State Administration: "OKKO filling complexes network is a good example among large businesses to follow. Each rampant, handrails, kid’s chair or baby changing station (I am not mentioning the installation of a lift in Kharkiv Opera Theater) is a step toward improvement of standards of living and increase of standards of business conduct".

Accessibility programme, which is implemented by OKKO filling complexes network, includes an adaptation of filling complexes for people with disability, installation of kid’s chairs and baby changing stations in A la minute restaurants and support of Social taxi programme in L’viv. In October, 2010 special lift for people with disability was purchased and set in Kharkiv Opera Theater with the assistance of OKKO network.
