OREANDA-NEWS. December 3, 2010. The “Case Champ” Final was held on 12 November in the Head Office of Ukrsotsbank as a General Partner of the Championship. In his opening speech, Head of Ukrsotsbank HR Department Stefano Mantovani stressed on passion as a key element of success.

The purpose of the Championship is to reduce the gap between too theorized Ukrainian education and business practices. For seven years our Bank has been holding the All-Ukrainian Student Olympics – an important and resonant event among students. As a result, Ukrsotsbank was ranked “Best Bank for Students” among the largest banks in Ukraine according to the “Banker” Magazine in 2009.

In total, 230 teams, coming from all regions of Ukraine, registered to participate in “Case Champ”. The competition consisted of a qualifying round, due to results of which 18 teams were selected, semifinal and, actually, final for the best 6 teams of the Championship. Winners and prizemen were defined by the jury consisting of middle managers and experts on strategic issues from Ukrsotsbank and other companies, such as JTI, Bain & Co, Slavutich, Phoenix Capital, Mars, Life, and KMBS.

Member of the winning team The Best Decision Rostylav Averchuk said: “The Championship was a great opportunity for us to communicate with business people, better understand their requirements for promising employees, and estimate our own capacity at the same time. I am sure that all the participants, regardless of the final result, have enriched themselves both professionally and personally. We thank all participants, organizers and sponsors for the great Championship and look forward to its further growth.”

For his side, a member of the jury, representative of Bain & Co Rostyslav Khomenko, said: “It was the best and most pragmatic solution of the business case. If it were the presentation aimed at cash prize, you would receive the money in the first place!"

All “Case Champ” winners and awardees were honored with mementos: diplomas and books from Bain & Co and Kyiv Mohyla Business School.
