OREANDA-NEWS. December 07, 2010. Aeroflot has been pronounced the best airline and has taken the first place in the Annual Quietest Airline Competition held by the Prague Airport, reported the press-centre of Aeroflot.

The competition is part of the joint program on protecting the environment carried out by the Prague Airport and Prague and it is the fourth time that the award has been given. In 2010 ten leading European airlines which have regular flights to Prague competed for the award. From June until October 2010, the period during which air traffic at Ruzyne is most intense, ANOMS8 has been used to monitor noise.

Lufthansa, KLM and Austrian Airlines were found to be the best in the nomination in the previous years.

After the award ceremony Oleg Firsaev, the Aeroflot General Representative in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, in his comments to the participants of the ceremony and the media related that the main reason why Aeroflot has won the nomination was the focus of the company on innovative development, professional pilot training and plane maintenance.

Aeroflot Airbus A319 and A320 are currently flying to Prague.
