OREANDA-NEWS. December 07, 2010. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) is considering a petition of “Russian Helicopters” OJSC (location: 29, Vereiskaya St., Moscow, 121357; main activities – managing assets of companies in helicopter industry) on acquiring 55% voting shares of “Rosvertol” OJSC (location: 5, Novatorov, St., Rostov-on-Don; main activities – development, production, operation, sale and maintenance of aviation equipment), which together with shares already in possession of “Russian Helicopters” OJSC will account to 77.76% voting shares of “Rosvertol” OJSC, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

“Rosvertol” OJSC is a specialized organization involved in development, production, exploitation, sale and repair of helicopter equipment.

At present “OBORONPROM” OPK” OJSC and economic entities – members of the same group of persons already control some helicopter companies and developers of helicopter equipment, including “Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant” OJSC, “Moscow Helicopter Plant named after Mil” OJSC, “Kazan Helicopter Plant” OJSC, “Kamov” OJSC, “Progress” AKK” named after Sazykin”, etc.

According to the information available to FAS Russia, the above enterprises produce or can produce items of helicopter equipment, similar (substitutes) to the products of “Rosvertol” OJSC.

Governed by Article 33 of No.135-FZ Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” of 26th July 2006, FAS Russia extended the period for petition consideration for two months in order to obtain additional information necessary to make a decision.

Interested persons can submit information to the Federal Antimonopoly Service about possible effects of the transaction upon the state of competition.
