OREANDA-NEWS. December 9, 2010. United Metallurgical Company (OMK) has issued 682 certificates so that those who suffered from fires in the Vyksa District could buy furniture.

One hundred ninety-three families received certificates with a nominal value of 100 thousand rubles, 219 families were given certificates for 150 thousand rubles, and 213 families were provided with 200-thousand-ruble certificates. In addition, 57 families who chose to build homes on their own received certificates for 150 thousand rubles.

The certificates were distributed among families with their future residential floor area in mind (45, 65, and 90 square meters respectively). The certificates entitled the families to enter into an agreement with a selected furniture company and place orders for relevant amounts within 14 days (during October 11–24, 2010). The following furniture companies offered their services: Nizhegorodets Furniture Factory, Simplex, Yasen, Karina Trading House, Uyutny Dom, and IKEA Dom.

Let us remind that OMK and VSW made massive efforts to fight forest fires in the Vyksa District in July–August 2010 and helped fire victims. The company gave temporary lodging to more than 200 evacuees at the Metallurg sanatorium-preventorium, a hostel at ul. 1 Maya, and the VSW construction camp. Each of 318 employees of OMK's Vyksa-based production site who suffered from the fires was given 5 thousand rubles for essential needs. The OMK-Uchastiye Charitable Foundation opened an account to collect funds for Vyksa residents and give humanitarian aid to them on a regular basis.
