OREANDA-NEWS. December 10, 2010. IBC held a press cafe on the theme: "Single Window implementation in foreign trade". The meeting was organized with support from USAID Regional Trade Liberalization and Customs Project (RTLC), reported the press-centre of IBC.

Obtaining permits is the most burdensome regulatory procedure for businesses. In the framework of the business environment improvement policy, the Kyrgyz government is reforming procedures for business registration. Thus, the principle of "single window" in the construction sector was introduced in May 2008.

"Single Window" in the field of foreign trade is likely to begin its operation early next year. Information on how the Single Window mechanism works, how it will simplify the process of receiving permits by businesses, and what the current status of the Single Window is was delivered to journalists in full and explicitly by the guests invited to the press cafe.

The journalists' questions answered Kylychbek Dzhakypov, Director General of "The Foreign Trade Single Window Center" State Enterprise under the Ministry of Economic Regulation of the Kyrgyz Republic; Natalia Shirshova, Chairman of the Association of Customs Brokers; Gulnara Uskenbaeva, President of Association of Suppliers; Tapio Naula, Deputy Project Manager, RTLC and GTZ expert Damira Osmonova.
