OREANDA-NEWS. December 10, 2010. Rosneft President Eduard Khudainatov visited the company’s subsidiaries in Tuapse, as part of his trip to the Krasnodar Territory, reported the press-centre of Rosneft.

Eduard Khudainatov conducted a meeting with local management at the Tuapsenefteproduct facility to review the expected 2010 operating results of this subsidiary as well as the Tuapse Refinery. The president also discussed the business plan for 2011, the residential construction project in the village of Agoy, located in the Tuapse District, and assessed progress of the large-scale reconstruction and modernization program of Tuapse’s oil facilities. Part of the discussion specifically focused on ensuring industrial safety of the infrastructure under construction. As a result of the meeting, deadlines for commissioning a number of facilities have been brought forward.

The president of the company also took part in the ceremonies commissioning six new storage tanks with a total capacity of 60,000 m3, which will provide a material increase in Tuapsenefteproduct’s transshipment capacity.

After the ceremonies, the head of Rosneft visited the Tuapse Refinery, which is now undergoing a large-scale modernization expected to increase the refinery’s capacity to 12 million tons of oil per annum while increasing its conversion ratio to 98%.

During the visit to the refinery, a representative of the Russian Cossacks presented Khudainatov with the Russia Order of Star of the Glory for the “Rosneft’s significant contribution to the mitigation of the emergency situation in the Tuapse District”, which occurred in October-November of this year. Khudainatov had ordered a series of measures to prevent Tuapse from submerging under water and provided all necessities to hundreds of flood victims.

A special thanks was given to the fire brigade and more than 40 other employees of Tuapsenefteproduct for their support during the raging forest fires in Tuapse suburbs in mid-November.
