OREANDA-NEWS. December 13, 2010. Finland's Ministry Agriculture and Forestry approved the three-year project of Business in the countryside within the territory of the Republic of Karelia and Murmansk Area.

At the international meeting held in the Ministry of Agriculture, Fish and Hunting Industry of the republic chaired by the acting minister Alexander Salamatin Finnish colleagues have made presentation of the project and expressed some wishes concerning inclusion of specific proposals from the Russian party.

While exchanging their opinions experts of the Ministry have planned basic directions for cooperation. Offers were made to unite rural tourism, hunting, including photohunting, and fishing into a common block. Matters also concerned cultivating, gathering and processing of garden and wild-growing fruits and berries with participation of gardening and country cooperative societies, as well as development of sports and fishing tourism, etc.

The next visit of the project leader Tapani Karjalainen to approve specific plan of teamwork is scheduled for January.
