OREANDA-NEWS. December 13, 2010. As part of EuroChem’s policy to refit its production facilities in order to heighten labor safety, adhere to environmental safety standards and optimize maintenance costs, EuroChem -Belorechenskie Minudobrenia (EuroChem-BMU) has begun dismantling its sulfuric acid shop (SK-27). The original commissioning of this shop dates back to the company’s inception. The shop operated for over seventeen years, and was mothballed after it had been removed from the technological process.

Maintenance of the idle, obsolete equipment was a financial burden for the company.

Dismantling of the sulfuric acid shop (SK-27), which includes a group of buildings and structures, is scheduled for completion by mid-summer 2011. The vacated production site vacated will be used for future technological capacity expansion projects.
