OREANDA-NEWS. December 20, 2010. PwC took fourth place in the Top 50 Dream Employers 2010 rating, which was published in the Career section of Aktsia magazine, reported the press-centre of PwC.

The Top 50 Dream Employers for Young Professionals is an objective rating that singles out and assesses the most attractive employers for students, recent graduates and young professionals (with no more than two years’ experience).

Research for the rating takes place from spring to fall each year using a survey on the rating’s website. Respondents fill out the form, providing information about their education and age, and answer the most important question of all – “Which company do you think is the best employer?"

There is no set list of companies to choose from; rather, each respondent is asked to provide their own answer. This method was chosen in order to prevent subjective answers based on a list of employers.

This year’s Top 5 employers for young professionals are:

Gazprom

MTS

McKinsey & Company

PwC

Google

Anna Slavnova, Human Capital Leader for PwC in Russia, commented:

“We are delighted to be in the top 5 among such worthy company. One of PwC’s biggest advantages is the possibility of receiving ongoing education and earning international qualifications.

From the first day of their employment, young specialists attend a number of special training courses for their particular field. In our Audit and Assurance Services department, for example, these courses include an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) programme. In Tax & Legal Services, a special programme was developed called Tax Academy. Our more experienced people attend corporate university programmes and summer academies in a number of different countries. Our most talented professionals go on secondment to PwC offices around the world.

This system of professional development enables our people to go from intern to partner in a matter of 10-12 years. The majority of our partners and directors began working at PwC when they were still students.”
