OREANDA-NEWS. December 23, 2010. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) is nominated for the “Global Competition Review” Award as one of the best antimonopoly authorities in Europe, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

On 4th February 2011 in Miami an independent international publication “Global Competition Review” will announce the winners in each nomination of the “Global Competition Review” Award for 2011.

The Award marks the efforts of the best competition authorities, lawyers and economists as well as legal practice throughout the world. The Award will also be assigned to the best antimonopoly cases considered by antimonopoly authorities.

At the end of November 2010 “Global Competition Review” named three candidates for each nomination for universal voting by its subscribers. The last voting day was 17th December 2010, and now “Global Competition Review” will determine the winner in each nomination.

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (the Russian Federation) was also nominated for the Award. Other entries in the same nomination are the Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission and French Competition Authority.

“The fact of nominating FAS Russia together with such leading authorities as the Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission and French Competition Authority attests considerable achievements and success that FAS has demonstrated in the recent years in development of competition policy and enforcement in the Russian Federation”, sais the Head of the FAS Russia’s Department for International Economic Cooperation, Ms. Lesya Davydova.
