OREANDA-NEWS. December 23, 2010. A working meeting between Alexander Misharin, the Sverdlovsk Region’s Governor, and Vladimir Makeyev, Chairman of the Management Board of ITERA Oil and Gas Company, LLC, had taken place in Yekaterinburg, reported the press-centre of ITERA

Issues of natural gas provision to consumers in the Region, gas supply to industrial consumers, power industry and social facilities in 2011, as well as plans of cooperation between the Government of the Region and the Company to normalize payments by consumers for gas and heat supplied had been addressed.

It was pointed out that CJSC Uralsevergaz (Urals North Gas) should improve work during the current contractual campaign to supply gas to enterprises of industry and housing and utilities infrastructure in 2011 to ensure timely and full payments by consumers in the Region.

Moreover, issues of ITERA investment activities in the Sverdlovsk Region related to construction of new and reconstruction of operational sources of heat and implementation of the gas provision program were discussed. The priority tasks of the Company included construction and modernization of about a 100 boiler houses and commissioning over 300 kilometers of gas pipelines.

V. Makeyev stressed that ITERA had sufficient resources of natural gas to supply all categories of consumers in the Middle Urals on a continuous basis.

CJSC Uralsevergaz: is the Company with shareholdings of ITERA Oil and Gas Company and the Sverdlovsk Region. The Company was established in December of 1998. It is in accordance with the Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region and ITERA Oil and Gas Company until 2015 that CJSC Uralsevergaz is the principal natural gas supplier to the Middle Urals.

ITERA Oil and Gas Company, LLC: ITERA Oil and Gas Company, LLC is one among the larger independent producers and marketers of natural gas in Russia. ITERA has been developing its own gas production since 1998 in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District (YaNAO). The Company has been supplying natural gas tj the Sverdlovsk Region since 1999. ITERA was the first private company that commissioned gas fields in the North of Russia. The Company has invested in the development of the industry over USD 2 billion. All in all, over 230 billion cu m of natural gas has been produced in the fields developed by ITERA.
