OREANDA-NEWS. December 27, 2010. The Ingosstrakh OJSIC branch in Yekaterinburg became a partner and an insurer of the exhibition ‘Great Realists. Russian Painting of the second half of the 19th century’ held in Yekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts.

More than 30 paintings of Russian art classics have been insured on all risks terms. The insurance coverage includes damages, partial or total loss of art loans irrespectively of the reason of their occurrence. A total amount of coverage exceeded 6 mln US dollars.

The exposition consists of the best works from collections of Yekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts, Tumen Museum Complex named after I. Slovtsov and Nizhny Tagil Museum of Fine Arts.

‘Repin and Surikov, Perov and Kramskoy, Aivazovsky and Vereshchagin, Sarasov and Shishkin, Polenov and Levitan – a whole constellation of talents made Russian art of the second half of the 19th century a literary golden age of Russian realism. Their art is appreciated and understood by everyone,’ told the Museum employees.

After the show in Yekaterinburg, the exhibition will travel to other cities of the Ural Federal District being safely protected by Ingosstrakh insurance.
