OREANDA-NEWS. December 27, 2010. St. Petersburg construction industry is coming to the pre-crisis level; industrial growth has first been demonstrated in 2010. The year has brought many important changes: construction industry has become self-regulated, important changes have been made in the legislation base, several large objects have been put into operation and new ones already launched. These facts were announced by Roman Filimonov, St. Petersburg Vice-Governor and the president of Construction Associations Union, in regards with the forthcoming VIII Constructors Conference,   which will open today in “Lenexpo” exhibition and congress center.

The conference will become the place to sum up results, discuss field goals, search for efficient solutions and set up new aims. Sergey Petrov, the first deputy chairman of State Duma Construction Committee, will talk about new legislative construction and self-regulation initiatives. Alexander Vakhmistrov, the first Vice-President of the National Association, chairman of the Public Council working with self-regulated construction enterprises, director general and chairman of the board of “LSR Group” Ltd, will talk about the National Association of self-regulated enterprises.

The Forum is also regarded as the annual meeting of the Construction Associations Union’s members where they will sum up the results and work out new plans for the season of 2011.
