OREANDA-NEWS. January 4, 2011. Belarusian foreign trade deficit amounted to USD 5.114 billion in January-October 2010, compared to a deficit of USD 4.254 billion in January-October 2009, according to the website of the National Bank of Belarus.

Overall turnover of commodities and services reached USD 52.35 billion in January-October 2010, up 18.9% on the year.

Exports of commodities and services increased 18.8% to USD 23.618 billion, and imports increased 19.1% to USD 28.732 billion.

Commodity trade deficit reached USD 6.529 billion in the first nine months of the year (USD 19.96 billion of exports and USD 26.49 billion of imports), and service trade surplus amounted to USD 1.416 billion (USD 3.658 billion of exports and USD 2.242 billion of imports).
