OREANDA-NEWS. January 12, 2011. The Russian Bank for Development awarded three students of the Finance and Credit Faculty, Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation for high results in studies and active participation in research works in the area of small and medium-sized business. The title of the RBD’s scholarship holder was awarded to the forth-year students Vyacheslav Novozhilov, Marina Nosova and Daria Goryacheva.

“The Bank has awarded the participants of the scholarship program who had made researches in the area of lending support to SMEs in the Russian Federation. First of all we selected projects related to the role and application of the bank instruments in this segment”, pointed out First Deputy Chairman of the Managing Board of RBD Dmitry Golovanov. 

“We are grateful to the students of the leading financial institute for their interest to the SME topics. The involvement of studentship in the State SME Lending Support Program will enable to develop prospects outlined today by RBD”, said Deputy Chairman of the Managing Board of RBD Nadezhda Martynova.  

In response the future financiers thanked RBD and noted that awarding with individual scholarships is a great impetus for scientific research in the area of SME development.

In November 2010 RBD established individual scholarships for the students of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. The relevant agreement was signed by Sergey Krjukov, Chairman of the Board of RBD and Mikhail Eskindarov, Rector of the Financial University.
