OREANDA-NEWS. January 12, 2011. ‘Aeroflot’ has fully recovered after the disruption that occurred in late December 2010 due to anomalous weather conditions.

From 25 through 29 December 640 flights were performed, 212 cancelled, and 358 flights were delayed. In total, over 80,000 passengers were carried to their destinations. During those days, the Sheremetyevo airport was crammed with about 6,000 passengers who were provided with hot meals, refreshments, and hygienic items.

Currently Aeroflot’s stock of the anti-icing liquid is sufficient for operation until the end of March 2011.

Beginning December 30, Aeroflot operates fully according to schedule. On January 9, 2011, Aeroflot performed 332 flights from the Sheremetyevo airport. This is the air carrier’s largest ever single-day number of flights.
