OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2011. Sales volume of federal retail company "Lenta", according to the results of 2010, has grown for 27 % in roubles if compared with 2009, and has made 70,6 billion roubles (VAT disregarded)*.

In the first half of the year 2010, active recovery of consumers’ capacity in all regions where the network’s hypermarkets are represented has been noted. Sales volume for six months of the last year, in comparison with similar period of the year 2009, has grown for 22 % and has made 31.1 billion roubles.

Positive dynamics has remained in the second half of the year. Sales volume has grown for 31 % in comparison with the similar period of the year 2009.

Currently, "Lenta" network has in total 39 hypermarkets in 20 cities of Russia. In the year 2010, stores in Cherepovets, Rostov-on-Don and Pskov have flung their doors open. In the year 2011, the company plans to proceed with its regional development, and to open 8 new trade stores in Siberian - Ural, Southern –Volga and the Northwest regions of the country, of the total area 12 000 sq.m. each.
