OREANDA-NEWS. January 14, 2011. Shipping volumes on Russia’s railways in 2010 increased by 8.8% compared to 2009, rising to 1.2058 billion tons of cargo. Cargo turnover amounted to 2 010.6 billion tariff ton-kilometres, an increase of + 7.8%.

In December 2010, 100.3 million tons of goods were shipped, an increase of 4.9% compared to December 2009. Cargo turnover in December 2010 showed no increase on December 2009 and amounted to 166.8 billion tariff ton-kilometres.
