OREANDA-NEWS. January 17, 2011. Alexander Riesenkampff, a partner in German law firm Schulte Riesenkampff and co-founder of CMS Hasche Sigle, is moving as of January 2011 to leading Baltic-Belarusian regional law firm SORAINEN. Mr Riesenkampff will become a member of SORAINEN's Supervisory Board and will contribute his management expertise as well as assisting with SORAINEN's international business development, in particular in Western Europe and North America.

Mr Riesenkampff has 40 years experience in international business law and a very strong reputation in competition law. The international legal directory The Legal 500 recommends Mr Riesenkampff as "one of the best [competition lawyers] in Europe".

Back in 1999, Mr Riesenkampff was one of the co-founders of CMS Hasche Sigle, currently a leading German law firm. In 2006 he founded Schulte Riesenkampff, which has grown significantly and was recognised by the Kanzlei des Jahres in Frankfurt und Hessen (JUVE, eng "Law Firm of the Year in Frankfurt and Hesse") Award in 2010. Schulte Riesenkampff will retain his name in the firm's name. Mr Riesenkampff is now returning to the Baltic German roots of his family which lived and was active in law and business in Estonia from the 16th century until 1940. Mr Riesenkampff will increasingly devote his attention to SORAINEN offices in the Baltic States and Belarus, but will also retain his personal office in Frankfurt.
