OREANDA-NEWS. January 18, 2011. Belarus’ woodworking, paper and pulp-making companies’ output last year increased 14.6% on the year in January-November 2010 to 3.942 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br), an official with the National Statistics Committee stated.

Wood veneer output rose 17.2% to 163,200 cubic meters, and sawn lumber production increased 8.4% to 890,900 cubic meters.

Fiberboard output rose 10.1% year-on-year to 36.3 million equivalent square meters, and chip wood board production went up 1.5% to 283,900 equivalent cubic meters.

Furniture output increased 18% to 1.426 trillion rubles in monetary terms.

Inventories of woodworking, paper and pulp-making companies amounted to 258.9 billion rubles on December 1, 2010.
