OREANDA-NEWS. January 20, 2011. In the reporting period the indices of the Baltic Stock Exchanges demonstrated mixed result. In positive territory were the Riga Stock Exchange Index (+3,35%) and Vilnius Stock Exchange Index +(0,11%), in negative territory ended the index of the Tallinn Stock Exchange (-0,12 %).

The volume of trade on the Riga stock Exchange was within the bounds of average and amounted to 160,000 lats; practically one third of the trading volume fell at the trading with Grindeks stocksЁC 53, 000 lats.

The leaders of growth over the week were the papers of Valmieras stikla shkiedra (+10,67%), Latvijas kugnieciba (+9,33%), Rigas kugu buvetava (+8,89%), Latvijas Gaze (+8,51%), Olainfarm (+6,48%), Ditton pievadkezhu rupnica (+4,43%) and Kurzemes atslega (+3,95%).

Against the market moved the shares of Ventpils Nafta (-4,35%) and Grindeks (-0,75%).

As to the latest news, it is worth mentioning the data on earnings of the companies Ekspress Grupp §Ъ Tallinna Kaubamaja in 2010.

The earnings of Ekspress Grupp in 2010 were EUR 4,9 million, which is 8,26% higher than in 2009 ЁC the price of shares of the company over the week practically did not change ЁC (-0,06 %). But the earnings of the company Tallinna Kaubamaja in 2010 amounted to EUR 402, which is by 1,35 % less than a year earlier. The market remained neutral to such data, the price of Tallinna Kaubamaja stocks over the week did not change and at closing on Friday was EUR 6,70.

After closing the market on Friday, 14/01/2010, the Financial and Capital Market Commission announced that it has received an application from the shareholder of Latvijas KrЁЎjbanka ЁC AB Snoras for permission of the offer to mandatory buy back the securities of Latvijas Krajbanka. The buy back price of ordinary shares is set at a rate of LVL 2.56 per share. The buy back offer will come into force only after the receipt of appropriate permission from the Financial and Capital Market Commission.
