OREANDA-NEWS. January 21, 2011. China’s Ambassador to Moldova Fan Li said at the meeting with Prime Minister of Moldova Vladimir Filat that this tendency had been observed after presentation of the Moldovan wine industry in Beijing last September and after signing of the contracts for Moldovan wine and brandies supplies to the Chinese market.

The diplomat emphasized that on the eve of the New Year celebrated according to the Easter style (February 3), 15 containers with Moldovan wine production would be supplied to China. As InfoMarket reported earlier, Moldova started promoting its wines to the Chinese market actively last year. During the presentation of Moldovan wines for the Chinese market organized by Moldova’s Embassy in Chinau and the HongKong Allfriends Consalting ltd company, it was said that China will increase import.

The Chinese company HongKong Allfriends Consulting said later that it intends to invest 5 million euros during the next three years in implementation of the project of promotion of Moldovan wine export to China. Its representatives believe that collection wine from Moldova may compete with the most famous wines in the world, but needs better promotion in foreign markets.

Prime Minister Vladimir Filat noted the agreement reached between Beijing and Chisinau to increase Moldovan wine supplies to China. It will enable to reduce Moldova’s dependency on just one, Russian, market, making Moldovan wine producers vulnerable.
