OREANDA-NEWS. January 24, 2011. It was said by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar. He said Moldova currently buys about 70% of the necessary electric power from the Moldovan Hydroelectric Power Station. However, the contract signed with it expires on March 31, 2011.

According to Valeriu Lazar, in this connection, the Moldovan party has initiated negotiations both with the current electric power supplier and alternative suppliers from Ukraine.

Valeriu Lazar said Moldova had good chances of purchasing electric power from Ukrainian alternative suppliers.
