OREANDA-NEWS. January 25, 2011. Belarus’ investments in fixed capital and construction increased 16.6% on the year in January-December 2010 to 54.218 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br), an official with the Statistics Ministry stated.

Of the total amount of investment, industrial projects received 33.161 trillion rubles in investments, up 13.9% on the year in January-December, and investments in social projects reached 21.057 trillion rubles, up 21.2% on the year.

Expenses on acquisition of machines, equipment, transport in the first ten months of the year amounted to 20.666 trillion rubles, up 17%.

Investments in construction and assembly operations totaled 27.424 trillion rubles, up 19.3% on the year in January-December.

Belarus’ dwelling output in January-December 2010 reached 6.7 million square meters, up 16.6% on the year.
