OREANDA-NEWS. January 27, 2011. Ingosstrakh OJSIC paid 10.6 million rubles to Kutuzovskoe CJSC, located in Shcherbakulsky district of Omsk region, in relation with the partial loss (incomplete harvest) of agricultural crops.

Under the terms of insurance contract, harvest of spring wheat on the total area of 4,316 hectares has been assured against loss or partial loss totaling about 29 million rubles.

Insured event was the last summer drought. Despite the fact that in Western Siberia, in comparison with other regions, summer of 2010 was not hot, and in the Omsk region there were observed even cool days, this summer has become one of the ten driest summers in the history of meteorological observations. Agricultural enterprises of region have suffered millions of losses. To establish the extent of the damage that drought injured Kutuzovskoe CJSC, it was necessary to carry out expert examination, after which the events have been recognized to be insured, and Ingosstrakh OJSIC paid the company indemnity in full scale.

The assured harvest is the subject of pledge of Omsk regional branch of Rosselkhozbank OJSIC within received loan.

Ingosstrakh OJSIC and Kutuzovskoe CJSC have been cooperating in the sphere of agricultural insurance since 2007. During this time the assured items were stocks of agricultural products, farm machinery, agricultural crops and cattle.
