OREANDA-NEWS. January 28, 2011. The cost of the license for keeping a casino in Moldova with up to 6 tables will be increased from 180 thousand leis to 360 thousand leis for each playing table. It is stipulated by the amendments to the Law on licensed kinds of business activity approved by the government following the respective legislative initiative of the Parliament deputy, chairman of the permanent commission for economy, budget and finance Veaceslav Ionita.

He said such licenses are in demand and the amendments are called on to rise payments to the state budget. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy Valerii Lazar underlined that the matter concerns restoration of the license’s previous cost that which reduced twice last year.

According to him, the social effect from the reduction of the payment for keeping casinos was minimal in comparison with the negative effect suffered by the budget that received less money.
