OREANDA-NEWS. January 28, 2011. OJSC Nordea Bank would like to inform the cardholders about peculiarities of using the Mobile Bank service in an international roaming zone, reported the press-centre of Nordea Bank.

Please note that the delivery of SMS messages with information about card transactions to your mobile phone when travelling abroad depends on a local operator who temporarily takes over your servicing and on availability of roaming agreements with such operator.

In most cases, information sent by the Bank via SMS messages is successfully delivered to a customer. However, mobile operators in Korea, Japan and some other countries have a number of technical specificities which may cause a failure in delivery of such SMS messages.

Pursuant to clauses 2.6 and 5.2 “Conditions for providing the Mobile Bank service” (regulating the procedure of receiving by OJSC Nordea Bank’s customers to their mobile phones the information about their bank card transactions), the Bank shall not be held liable for a customer not receiving the information about his/her bank card transactions, if his/her domestic cellular operator switches this service off or a local operator refuses to deliver SMS messages.

If you do not receive SMS messages about your bank card transactions, especially while travelling in Korea and Japan, and/or if you have any questions concerning the use of Mobile Bank service, it is strongly recommended to contact the Bank for consultation:
