Alexander Rogovoy has been appointed as Vice-President for Legal Issues and Corporate Development of Rostelecom.  His job duties will include legal support, the Company’s current activity as well as corporate governance issues, including management of subsidiaries and associates.

Alexander Rogovoy was born on July 18, 1979 in Moscow.  He graduated from the Moscow State Law Academy in 2001.

From 1998 until 2003 he was in charge of legal support issues at a number of companies.

From 2003 until 2009 he worked at MegaFon, where he rose from legal advisor to head of the legal department.

Mr. Rogovoy was named to the position of Deputy Director of the Legal Support Department of Rostelecom in 2010, and in October 2010 he performed the duties of Vice-President for Legal Issues and Corporate Development.

According to the General Director of Rostelecom Alexander Provotorov, “the expertise and experience of Alexander will improve the company’s efficiency in resolving legal support issues and contribute to the development of corporate governance, which is especially important for the company during the merger process.
